Breaking the cycle of abandoned infrastructure

Too often in rural areas, development investments end up as abandoned or underutilized infrastructure due to lack of maintenance, business models, or technical follow-up. Our approach goes beyond traditional development aid to sustainably solve this inertia. We designed a circular system integrating technology, energy autonomy, and local expertise to transform these initiatives into viable agro-economic hubs, maximizing value creation directly within the communities.

Production : agroecology & IoT

The foundation of our ecosystem relies on transitioning toward sustainable agroecological practices that preserve soil health and optimize water usage. We deliver comprehensive training (biopesticide and compost production, certified seed selection). To maximize efficiency, we integrate IoT solutions (via the SafeTrack tool) enabling real-time monitoring of irrigation and crop health for optimal yields.

Conservation : solar cold chain

Access to cold storage is the critical link to eliminating post-harvest losses, which heavily burden producer incomes. We install clean, autonomous infrastructure combining a cold room and a refrigerated truck. This complete setup allows perishable harvests to be stored and transported under optimal fresh conditions, guaranteeing product quality up to market placement.

Processing: value addition

Selling raw produce severely limits rural earnings. Our model integrates local food processing units (enabling harvests to be processed into spices, attiéké, juices, syrups, tomato paste, peppers, under the certified Ndella brand). This process multiplies value addition by six while building a locally anchored value chain.

Commercialization: direct-to-market channels

To ensure fair compensation for farmers, we structure short, secured sales channels connecting production sites directly to urban markets, hotels, and supermarket chains—eliminating unnecessary intermediaries. Guaranteeing quality and regulatory compliance, our approach also includes securing official certifications (2 food manufacturing & packaging authorizations obtained to date). 

Empowerment: maintenance & local governance

Project sustainability relies on the capacity of local actors to own and operate their tools. We train local technicians in equipment maintenance (solar, IoT, cold storage) and support the governance of Economic Interest Groups (GIEs). This skill transfer ensures long-term site autonomy and lasting community empowerment, particularly for women.
